Celebrating freedom, pride, and self-love through the power of the rainbow.
An immersive, vibrant installation, the Bonds ‘Out Now’ exhibition celebrates the size, strength and positivity of the LGBTI community.
Coinciding with the launch of its new ‘Pride’ range and Mardi Gras, Bonds wanted to showcase the Australians who have literally put themselves out there for those who are yet to come out.
From the street, a branded rainbow wall, emblazoned with the event name, sparked intrigue and beckoned discovery. Upon entering, guests were welcomed into a bright and inclusive space that celebrated the joy of being out, and the journey that comes with it.
Guiding exploration, a pride walkway invited guests to explore the portraits of those that make up part of the rainbow, along with mementos from their coming out journey. Along the path, a digital display with headphones invited an intimate moment where guests connected with stories from those living out and proud in the queer community.
Set on a rainbow backdrop with foil fringing and glittering disco balls, a DJ spun classic pride anthems, invigorating the space with uplifting energy. A photo booth presented guests the opportunity to snap their picture and add it to the growing pride wall; meanwhile, a black-and-white mural by queer artist Frances Cannon welcomed all guests — including allies and members of the community — to add their own splash of colour to the event.
