Studio Messa were tasked to find a strategic solution for the American Express Platinum Charge Card relaunch. The brief’s main focus was to bring the benefits of the product to life amongst prospective new clients. Studio Messa pitched the idea of creating an immersive installation for VIP and general admission guests alike to enjoy at the 2018 NGV Gala.

The NGV Gala marked the launch of their Escher x Nendo exhibition and centred around the themes of reflection, refraction and illusion. Playing within these themes and championing the Platinum brand, Studio Messa created a kinetic installation featuring twenty motion-responsive mirrored panels.

The activation provided an elevated experience amongst an already high-calibre event, and allowed the client to own the hero shareable touch-point of the evening. As an extension of this concept, Studio Messa facilitated the creation of bespoke video content for VIP guests that were delivered to them on the evening to share. The buzz generated in person, via social and traditional media was extensive, deeming the activation as a huge success.
